Warehouse and Distribution Roles

Based in our Head Office in Purfleet, our Warehouse and Distribution team is the dynamic workforce reacting to all store requirements at pace. Industry recognised for outstanding levels of efficiency, they measure, cut, and deliver our products to stores throughout the country – getting what is needed to where it’s needed, at super speed. They also provide invaluable customer-centric services, such as live order updates, sample deliveries and helpline support. And thanks to their eye for detail and obsession for customer service, they excel at it.

Measuring Up

Operating from our vast Warehouse (the size of 10 football pitches!) the proud faces of our 120+ colleague-strong Distribution team support the weekly delivery to our 300+ stores in the UK and Ireland by distributing some 30,000 items per week. Using 4 cutting tables and 3 state of the art tube making facilities – picture 300 vast pigeonholes that can all fit an entire length of carpet. That’s what’s needed in our mail room to ensure that our stores get exactly what we need. And our Distribution task force ensure all orders are fulfilled on time, and in full.

Dream Team

The team is comprised of over 100 permanent warehouse operatives, our Distribution site manager, Operations manager, and Team leaders. All training (including Fork-Lift Truck driving) is provided in-house and various career paths can take off from here with no experience required. We champion inclusion throughout the business and take great pride in our diverse work force in Distribution – comprising all genders (yes, even females!), ethnicities, and backgrounds.

Recycling

We take great pride in our green initiatives and are committed to doing our part to tackling environmental damage – which is why we also have a dedicated onsite recycling team who help us recycle and reuse any plastic we create. Currently, we recycle up to 7000 tubes per week – they’re either re-used for a new roll of carpet or shredded and sent off to be made into new packaging materials.
